Can you take a Tervis Tumbler apart?
Stacked tumblers can get stuck together just like glassware. If they do become stuck together, some customers have told us they put theirs in the freezer overnight, which allowed them to more easily pull them apart.
How do you Glitter a double wall tumbler?
- Step 1:Drill a small hole in the bottom of your tumbler. You have to be precise with this. You can’t drill too far because if you do, your drink will permeate into the floating glitter section.
- Step 2: Tap glitter into the hole. This takes a minute. It’s faster it you tap the cup on the table as you go.

Tervis will replace products from our classic double-walled plastic line of drinkware that we confirm to have defects in material or workmanship. Items damaged due to improper care, abuse or normal wear and tear (e.g. fading, scratching) will not be replaced.

The Tervis tumbler is designed for both hot and cold beverages. So very hot coffee or ice cold drinks and such would be fine.
Why is the glitter clumping in my snow globe tumbler?
You may notice that some of the glitter clumps together but after a day or two the glitter should started to seperate. If you notice that the glitter is still clumping, you may have used too much glycerin.
How much glycerin do I add to water for a snow globe tumbler?
Personally, we used about 3/4 cup of water, 3 teaspoons glycerin and 2 teaspoons glitter. Don’t fill your jar too much because the figurine will displace some water and you want a small air pocket for allow for the shaking. Place the inverted mason jar lid on the jar and secure tightly.

Using a funnel add glitter until you have 1/2 to 1″ of glitter in there. Next mix 4 oz of water with 2 oz of clear Elmer’s glue in a fine tip squirt bottle. Carefully squirt about an inches worth into the hole in the bottom of the tumbler.
