I agree with most of what people have said here, Shotokan is a good style for competition and point sparring. Also the Shotokan charge is well worth learning, as is the foot sweep. You can learn some good skills in Shotokan, and if you didn’t have a better choice it wouldn’t be a waste of your time to train.
